The Prep was honored to have Gary Richardson and Gil
Donatelli as guest clinicians in the guitar classes recently.

Gary is a guitarist from New England, well-known for his
TV music soundtracks, original compositions and radio

Gil is a music educator and professional guitarist in the
Phoenix area.

Students throughout the
campus were treated to a

As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership. Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name. These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search. However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

Gil and Gary then joined the guitar classes and demonstrated techniques in right hand
picking, electric guitar, and various styles of music. Guitar students were inspired by
Gil and Gary’s performance of “Sleepwalk” (by Santo and Johnny) on the electric and
acoustic guitars. Gary wrapped up the session with a beautiful arrangement of
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
