As the North Pointe Prep physics students begin a fresh
semester of physics, their first foray was made into the world
of waves and sound.  Students were tasked with using their
knowledge of musical frequency and wavelength to create
musical instruments that were capable of playing a full
octave as well as a few simple tunes.

The students attacked this task with great gusto, and a
variety of instruments were created.  They ranged from
more conventional choices like guitars and xylophones to
the more exotic ones that looked like they had jumped right
off the stage of a Blue Man group show.

With a variety of blowing, plucking, and striking, each
student played their home-made instrument in turn and
impressed their classmates with their ingenuity and skill.
