prep cares troop tribute 2008

U.S. Troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan will soon be receiving
$21,070 of supplies thanks to Prep Cares Troop Tribute 2008.

The supplies were presented to Packages From Home at a
special Prep Assembly. "This is the best school ever," said
Kathleen Lewis, founder of the non-profit Packages From Home.
"North Pointe goes above and beyond to help their troops, They
are the most amazing group of young people. I've never seen a
school quite like this."

The Prep Assembly included the National Anthem by Senior
Andrea Gray, a moving speech by guest speaker Bob Smith,
and a musical presentation from the Prep Band. Mr. Smith's
son, Robert F. Smith was a former Navy pilot and was killed while
flying a helicopter for the US Customs and Border Patrol.
