Prep receives Flag flown over US Embassy in Iraq
In recognition for the tremendous work that North
Pointe students did in securing over $21,000 worth of
donated supplies for the United States Troops serving
in Iraq, the school was presented the US Flag that
flew over the United States Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq
on May 2, 2008 - the day of the Troop Tribute2008
Assembly.

The Flag actually arrived at the Prep several days
ago thanks to Junior Matt DeYoung.  DeYoung's
Uncle, Darrel Lee, is the Site Security Manager for the
Baghdad Embassy Security Force and secured the
Flag for the Prep as a way of saying 'thank you' for
the supplies donated as part of Troop Tribute 2008.

The Flag was presented to Mr. Ward, the Prep's
Troop Tribute Coordinator, during a
live preptv
broadcast, by United States Air Force Airman First
Class Aaron Diaz.  A1C Diaz, brother of Christy Alley,
Canyon Pointe's Registrar, recently returned from Iraq.
