North Pointe's Band traveled to Disneyland for their
annual workshop on the back lot and went into a recording
studio and learned what it takes to make a soundtrack for
a movie.

The band handled the intense pressure of sight-reading
four pieces, and recording them minutes later, in synch
with clips from different Disney films. The group showed
incredible improvement, doubling the total number of
pieces from last year’s workshop.

The rest of the day was spent in the park. “Space
Mountain” was the most popular attraction, with some
students riding it five times. Mr. Hutson was a self-
proclaimed champion, achieving the highest score on the
“Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters” ride.
