North Pointe presents 'Into the Woods' musical
Others putting in solid performances were Bryan Quiroz (Jack), Rebekah Fine (Narrator), Brittany Laidlaw (Jack’s
Mom), Amira Al-Deek (Milky White), Quentin Shoemaker (Mysterious Man), Zack Klepper (Cinderella’s Prince), Heidi
McFarland (Cinderella’s Stepmother), Gabrielle Nelson (Florinda), Carissa Temporado (Lucinda), Dominick Maggio
(Cinderella’s father), Sarah Niner (Cinderella’s Mother), Chris Dalpe (Steward), Michael Denham (The Wolf), Alexis
Green (Granny/Giant), Jessica Turner (Rapunzel), and Dan Cove (Rapunzel’s Prince).
Rounding out the cast as Jack and Little Red Ridinghood are Bryan Quiroz and incoming freshman Lauren Rom.
"Bryan has been heavily involved in my theatre classes and his spontaneity and sense of play is essential for a
character such as Jack," continued Ms. Stone. "Lauren literally came out of nowhere—not a theatre class not a music
class. She’s one of those delightful surprises every director hopes for during the audition process.”

The Prep's High School Theatre Department presented the
popular but challenging musical, “Into the Woods” by
Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. The twisted fairy-tale
classic encompasses several popular fairy-tale stories and
explores what happens after “happily ever after."
Rochelle Otto used her big voice and big personality to
capture the leading role of the Witch. Michael Murphy also
performed exceptionally well as the Baker and lead the
audience on his journey through the woods.
The Baker’s Wife was played brilliantly by the very talented
Andrea Gray. Samantha Bravo (Cinderella) and Freshmen
Lauren Rom (Little Red Riding Hood) were also very
believable in their roles and reminded the audience once
again why these stories remain childhood favorites.
