Romeo & Juliet audition and casting information
You do not need to have previous theatre experience or have taken a theatre class to audition.  All North Pointe High
School are encouraged to audition.  All forms are available below or in the Theatre Office.

Audition Information
1.  Auditions will be Tuesday Feb 12th and Wednesday Feb 13th (attend only 1 day) from 6:30-7:30 in the Theatre.  
2.  Select and practice one of the provided scenes (click for scene  1  2  3  4  5  6) and be prepared to read it during
your audition.  Understand the meaning of the scene—words and all.  Reading the entire play will make this easier.
Your audition does not have to be completely memorized, but the more you can - the better you will perform. During
your audition, read/perform with emotion and make bold choices.  Remember, in acting there is no right or wrong.
3.  Bring completed Parental Consent and Audition forms to your audition.

Cast Information
1.  The Romeo & Juliet Cast will be announced on preptv.org Saturday, February 16th.
2.  The Cast Parent meeting is Tuesday, February 19th, from 6:00-6:30 pm in the Theatre.
3.  Read through & costume measurements will be February 20th-21st, from 3:00-5:00 pm in the Theatre.

As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership.  Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name.  These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search.  However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.
