prep theatre one act shows

This year, the Theatre department has added a One-Act Performance class. “The concept behind the class was to
give students additional performance opportunities,” says Ms. Stone, who teaches the course. “Since our afternoons
are booked rehearsing other shows, we use class time to rehearse.”

There are currently sixteen students enrolled in the one-act performance course. “We have a great mix of
personalities and abilities,” says Ms. Stone. “These students are the first to participate in this kind of class format, they
are the pioneers. Its been a challenge trying to determine how advanced the material can be, how much time they
need to rehearse, how many pieces they can participate in during each given quarter. It’s tricky, you never know until
you do it. I’m just proud that they’ve given it their best effort and attitude and am looking forward to the end product on
Tuesday.”

The One Act Performances will be held at the end of each quarter at 7:00 pm in the Theatre: September 25th,
December 18th, March 11th, and May 20th.

As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership. Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name. These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search. However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.
