prep's varsity cheer competition team state championship

The Prep is a member of
Pointe Schools - an
Independent Public School District
serving over 1200 students,
K-12th grades, on three
Northwest Valley Campuses.

The Prep's Varsity Cheer Competition Team
is the AIA's 2007-2008 State Champion in
the 1A-3A Coed Cheer Division. This is
North Pointe's first State Title and it comes in
only their first year of competing as a full
member in the Arizona Interscholastic
Association.

"This is the best Competition Team in the
five years I have been at North Pointe," said
the Prep Competition Coach Josh Delgado.
"We have great underclassmen, we have
great leadership from the Seniors, and our
middleclassmen have done a great job of
keeping everything together."

championship that had eluded the Prep's storied Varsity Cheer Competition Team which has won local, regional,
national, and international competitions.

In addition to being the 1A-3A State Champion, the Prep can also claim bragging rights to having defeated this
year's 4A-5A State Champion, Basha, in the Cactus Cup.

North Pointe was finally permitted to compete in the AIA's State Championship last year, as an Associate Member,
and took second place.
