Privacy Policy As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character, and Leadership. Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name. These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being identified as the result of an Internet search. However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

North Pointe honors the Class of 2009

preptv's 'show before the
show' profiles Class of 2009
preptv's morning show host, Erin Idczak,
hosted a live 45 minute 'show before the
show' that was watched on huge screens
prior to the graduation and highlighted the
Class of 2009's Academic Top 10, this
year's Praestantia Award Winners and the
graduation speakers.
The 'show before the show' also featured
the Varsity Girls Basketball Team (Elite
Eight), Cheer Competition Team (State
and National Titles), The 4X800 Track
Relay Team (7th in State), Stephen
Hutson (4-time All State in Band), Katie
Komos (State Champion in Speech) and
the Prep's Class Sponsors.
A standing room only audience of over 1900 honored the Class of 2009 as they received
their diplomas at the Prep's Seventh Annual High School Commencement. The celebration
included a live preptv 45 minute 'show before the show' where the accomplishments of this
year's seniors were profiled.
In keeping with North Pointe tradition, the
night was MC'd by a Senior, Matt DeYoung,
and the speeches were presented by
members of the Class of 2009. Jennifer
Webster reviewed four years of Academics,
Tanya Maldonado acknowledged those that
participated in Athletics and Alexis Green
and Samantha Bravo highlighted the
contribution the Seniors made to the Arts.
Malin named Valedictorian
Lucas Malin was named as the Prep's Class
of 2009 Valedictorian. Melissa Phoenix and
Heather Ritchey were named as the
Salutatorians.
Ritchey was also honored, along with 33 of
her classmates, with the Prep's Praestantia
Award for Excellence in Academics (four
years on the Honor Roll or Principal's List),
Athletics (four years on a Varsity team), and
the Arts (four years as a member of Band,
Falcon Players or Falcon Singers). Ritchey
is the first person to be recognized for
excelling in all three A's.

Grads welcomed as Prep Alumni
Addie Mosher, Class of 2008, concluded the
commencement by asking the class of 2009
to move their
tassels to the
left,presented
them as
graduates and
welcomed them
into the North
Pointe's Alumni
Association.
With the addition
of the Class of
2009, the Alumni
Association has
284 members.
