| Remembering Our Heroes During the Fall, Prep Cares will focus on America's Veterans. The four week Remembering Our Heroes project, October 11th - November 11th, will include cleaning Veteran headstones, hosting a skate day for those with a family member deployed and participating in a Veterans Ceremony and the Veterans Day Parade. Holiday Sharing During the Holiday Season, Prep Cares will focus on those in our community who are less fortunate. The three week Holiday Sharing project, December 1st-19th, will include providing 150 stockings for the West Valley Child Crisis Center and assisting the St, Mary's Food Bank with food container preparation. Mentoring During the Winter, Prep Cares will focus on Canyon Pointe and Pinnacle Pointe third-sixth graders as they prepare for AIMS testing. The five week Mentoring project, February 6th-March 6th, will include assisting Pointe School's elementary students with reading, writing and math test preparation. Cause we Care During the Spring, Prep Cares will focus on Children's Diabetes. The three week Cause We Care project, March 30th-April 17th will focus on partnering with the American Diabetes Association to bring awareness to the disease. |
