Meet 2 Northwest Christian at Victory Lanes
Kristi Hayes placed 9th in the Northwest Christian Cross Country meet at Victory Lanes. Austin Mosher was first for the boys with a 15th place finish.
"The team really pushed themselves and did well," said Coach Heidi Anderson.

Meet 3 at Valley Christian
The Prep competed against 10 other schools in the Valley Christian meet at Kiwanas Park. "We had a great meet at valley Christian." said Coach Heidi
Anderson. "We've had many runners get sick in the past week, but still had two girls who were eligible to run. Kristi Hayes finished 26th out of 65 and
Fern Bueno had a great race as well. We had seven boys running; Austin Mosher, Ian Marmol, Matthew Armas, Angel Bernal, James Smith, Tyler
Hayes, and Dakota Nunez. Our first boy across the finish line was Austin Mosher. He came in 36th place out of 94. They all ran their best and did well.
We learned a lot from running on a new course and will focus on hills so that we are prepared for wherever we might run next."

Meet 4 Northwest Christian at Victory Lanes
Cross-Country did well in our meet on October 13. It was at Victory Lanes and two other teams were there competing against us. Although it was small
it was great to be able to race against these two teams as we prepare for regionals, which is on October 31. We had 8 boys and 3 girls running. Caleb
Arliskis and Austin Mosher came in very close to each other in 9th and 10th place out of 21 runners, with times of 19:54 and 19:56. Connor Carpenter,
Anthony Casselman, Matthew Armas, Angel Bernal, Tyler Hayes and Dakota Nunez all had a good race. Dakota Nunez improved his time from our last
meet by two minutes. Great job Dakota! Kristi Hayes was our top girl runner. She came in 3rd out of 10 with a time of 22:45. Missy John and Fern
Bueno also did well. Ian Marmol is out with an injury and we hope that he will be feeling better before regionals. They all ran well and the cooler
weather seemed to help.

Meet 5 at Tempe Canal Park
We had a great invitation this last Saturday down at Evelyn Hallman Park (Formerly Tempe Canal Park). There were 7 other schools competing
against us.  We had 5 boys and 3 girls running. Anthony Casselman came in first for our team and 12th over all out of 59 runners, with a time of 19:53.
For our team Austin Mosher came in next, followed by Connor Carpenter, Dakota Nunez, and Tyler Hayes. Missy John was our top girl runner. She
came in 17th out of 32 with a time of 27:41. Emily Parker and Fern Bueno also did well. They all ran well and the cooler weather is still helping us run
better. Our next run is our last. We are competing in regionals on October 31st at Phoenix Country Day. Varsity boys will run at 10:00AM and varsity
girls at 10:45AM. Since a varsity team consists of only 7 people, we are not able to have all 10 of our boys run. The regionals boys team is Caleb
Arliskas, Angel Bernal, Austin Mosher, Ian Marmol, James Smith, Anthony Casselman, and Matthew Armas. The girls team is Amber Farmer, Kristi
Hayes, Missy John, and Emily Parker.

faster than his previous best time. Austin Mosher came in second for the Falcons followed by Caleb Arliskas, Matthew Armas, Angel Bernal, James
Smith, and Dakota Nunez. The Lady Falcons had a great start to their race with getting in front of the crowd. Kristi Hayes came in 20th place out of 73
and qualified for State. Her time was 22:39, also her personal best. Missy John was the second Falcon across the line and was followed by Emily
Parker. "It has been a great season and we are so excited to be able to send someone to state in only our second year as a team," Said Coach

State Meet
Senior Kristi Hayes placed 49 out of 95 runners in the 2A Cross Country State Meet. "It was really hard, the first mile was all hills," said Kristi after
crossing the finish line. "I actually wasn't expecting to do that good," said Kristi in reference to being the first Falcon to qualify for the Cross Country
State Meet. "We are so proud of her and proud that she represented us here at State," said Coach Heidi Anderson. "She did amazing."
