Curriculum enhanced for 2009-2010
There are many helpful adjustments being made to the Prep’s curriculum for next
year, creating more flexibility for students in choosing their core track as well as their
electives. “We believe these changes will better-prepare our students for the college
experience, and introduce them to a wide variety of skills and subjects that are a part
of many career choices,” said Richard Gow, the Prep’s Principal.

with 92% of the sophomore class meeting or exceeding the standard in writing. Among
other notable scores at the Prep was the 94% passing rate in writing by the eighth

Newsweek names Prep as one of America's Best
For the second year in a row, Newsweek Magazine has ranked the Prep as one of the
best High Schools in America. North Pointe was one of only six Arizona schools to
make the prestigious list. "These are all exceptional schools. Every one is in the top 5
percent of 27,000 American high schools measured this way," said Jay Matthews,
the creator of the challenge index.
