Prep expects record
enrollment for 2008-2009
After four years of record enrollment North
Pointe is anticipating that the 2008-2009
school year will bring the school to a
maximum enrollment of 700 students.  
The Prep is already one of the largest
secondary charter schools in the Valley.  
"We like where we're at," said Dave
McKinley, the Prep's Director of Student
Development.  "We're big enough to offer
excelling academic, athletic, and arts
programs, but still small enough to care
for each student."

Newsweek names Prep
as one of America's best
Newsweek Magazine has officially named
North Pointe Preparatory as "One of
America's Best High Schools!  According
to Newsweek Magazine, North Pointe is
one of the top 1,000 schools in America
and is now one of the top high schools in
Arizona.

Pointe Schools continue
to excel academically
The 2007 Arizona Learns Rankings were
recently released.  As expected, all three
Pointe Schools continue to excel
academically.  Canyon Pointe, North
Pointe's Junior High, and North Pointe's
High School were all ranked Highly
Performing  Pinnacle Pointe was ranked
Excelling for the second year in a row.
Pointe Superintendent Jody Johnson told
preptv, "Our entire school community
deserves to be commended for working
together to make sure that our students
succeed academically.  Our teachers,
parents and students already know that
we provide an excellent education, but it is
nice to have our success acknowledged
by the State of Arizona."  Pointe Schools
was recently commended by the Arizona
Republic for having an excellent academic
program.

As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character,
and Leadership.  Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name.  These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being
identified as the result of an Internet search.  However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

"Steps to the Prep" for
Canyon and Pinnacle

Step #3 - Canyon and Pinnacle 6th
graders are invited to attend the Prep's Jr.
High Dance on
Thursday, April 3rd, from
6-8 pm in the Prep Theatre.
Step #2 - Parents of Canyon and
Pinnacle 6th graders are invited to attend a
Prep Jr. High Orientation presentation for
Parents.  
Canyon's is Monday, March 10th.
Pinnacle's is Tuesday, March 11th.  Both
orientations begin at 7:00 pm.
Step #1 - Canyon and Pinnacle 6th
graders will be bused to the Prep's
campus on
Friday, March 7th, for a Prep
Assembly, lunch in the Prep Cafe, and a
Prep Jr. High Orientation presentation.
They will also be invited back that night for
the Jr. High presentation of Cinderella.
Step #4 - Canyon and Pinnacle 6th
graders who are enrolled at the Prep, for
the 2008-2009 school year, will participate
in a promotion ceremony on
Friday, May
30th
, at 10:30 am in the Prep Theatre.
