High School Courses

Most elite academic schools offer High School Honors or Advanced Placement (AP) courses. However, few allow a student to take regular core classes in one subject area and Honors or AP in another. Typically, students have to choose either all regular or all excelerated courses for the four core subject areas. At North Pointe we allow students to choose based upon their level interest and we do not have 'placement tests' for any of our Honors or AP courses. In fact, 15 of a students 16 core credits (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) can be regular classes or 14 core credits can be Honors or AP. Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, all 16 core credits can be Honors or AP. North Pointe also offers 28 High School Elective courses.
