Privacy Policy As a general rule, preptv does not post the last name of elementary students while identifying their participation in a school activity or promoting their accomplishment in Knowledge, Character, and Leadership. Likewise preptv does not include any reference to a student in a posted jpeg or mpeg image file name. These precautions should eliminate parental concerns about a child being identified as the result of an Internet search. However, in the event that a parent is uncomfortable with a posted text or image, preptv will remove the text or image upon notification.

preptv updates on Facebook/Twitter
preptv has joined the world of Facebook (North Pointe News) and
Twitter (northpointenews) and is quickly drawing fans and followers of
the school's popular website. "The obvious question is why join these
other sights when the school already has preptv.org?" said Principal
Richard Gow. "We began posting at these sights for two reasons.
First, although preptv.org is amazing, it does not provide our students
the opportunity to post thoughts, ideas and positive comments about
each other. Second, many of our students have asked preptv to let
them know when specific photos and videos have been posted. Our
relationship with Facebook and Twitter allows our students to be more
involved in preptv's coverage of events and provides us an avenue to
notify students of specific photo and video postings."

As preptv.org approaches its 1,000,000th hit, North Pointe's TV Station,
preptv, will celebrate its fifth birthday this summer. "We started this whole
thing with my Sony Digital8 Camcorder, Canon Rebel 35mm camera and an
$11.95 a month website that I actually started for the computer classes," said
Principal Richard Gow. "The website's popularity grew quickly and eventually
the school started paying for it. My equipment was replaced with a state of
the art studio, 12 Digital Mini-DV Camcorders, 1 Digital XDCAM Camcorder,
and 6 Digital EOS Cameras. It's been a fun ride!" preptv is an extra-curricular
Prep's TV Station nears 5th birthday
program designed to promote campus life and communicate student achievement in academics, athletics and the
arts. "At first, our slogan 'onair, online onyou' sounded kind of cheesy," continued Principal Gow. "But we stayed
with it because it crystallized what preptv is. We broadcast shows throughout the campus. We post photos and
videos online. And, all of it is about you, the students of North Pointe Prep. The over 400 pages, 30,000 photos
and hundreds of videos posted on preptv.org highlight the school's commitment to use preptv to promote our
students."
