Juniors win le tour de Prep

The Class of 2019 won the final event of North Pointe's Old School Games but the Seniors won the Overall Championship. Senior Jalisa Garcia, the first female to participate in the le Tour de Prep, led for most of the race but was not able to maintain the lead when Junior Cameron Mayo passed her on the final straight away. Although the Juniors were not able to capture the overall championship, they did win the two biggest events of the week: the le Tour de Prep and the Powder Puff Tournament. In the JH OSG, Ms. Aufderheide's 7th period class won the championship.

North Pointe Ranked #2 in Phoenix

For the sixth year in a row, US News and World Report has ranked North Pointe as one of the Best High Schools in America. The 2017 rankings have North Pointe moving up to #2 among all public district and charter High Schools in Phoenix after being #3 last year. Being #2 out of over 200 high schools in the nation's fifth largest city is something we're proud of. Especially since you don't have to possess a special talent or be the smartest person in the class to enroll at North Pointe. All you need is a desire to be more than you are right now. North Pointe also advanced in State rankings from #21 last year to #15 this year.

Falcons Find Themselves in Win

North Pointe Varsity Volleyball Team has struggled all season losing more games to themselves than their opposition. It's something they have worked on very aggressively so their decisive victory over ASU Prep was more than just another win. "It was about finding ourselves again tonight, and they responded and had fun,” said Coach Walsh.

Prep Cares

Football Dance Crew shared their love of dance with Arizonans for Children. Arizonans for Children's mission is to facilitate opportunities that provide effective solutions to alleviate hardships and improve the fragile lives of the abused, abandoned, neglected children in foster care. Dance Crew went to their visitation center, where supervised family visitations take place,  and played dance games, "wobbled", free styled and helped the children make up a dance to perform for the parents. North Pointe's academic, athletic and arts teams/groups participate in a community service project each season.

Graduation - A new journey begins

Family, friends and alumni packed the historic Celebrity Theatre and celebrated North Pointe's Class of 2017 Wednesday night. The evening began with each graduate entering the circular venue from the tunnel and then featured an original song by Becky Heller who was joined on stage by dancers Kenny Hunley, Tatiana Mason, Mikayla Shepherd and David Ocasio. The host of preptv's 8:02 Live show Alexis Limon presented some very hilarious 'then and now' photos of the graduates comparing their 7th grade look with their Senior portrait. After a slide show highlighting the Class of 2017's journey from kindergarten through this year, Belen Markus and Justin Evans entertained the audience with a monologue highlighting the memorable events over the past six years. Prior to receiving their diploma, from Pointe Schools Superintendent Dr. Jody Johnson, a personal video was played of each graduate.
